The Korean dubbing cast for the animated film “The King of Kings” has been announced!
“The King of Kings” follows the famed British author Charles Dickens and his youngest son Walter as they embark on a journey into the greatest story ever told—set 2,000 years in the past.
The Korean-dubbed version of the film will feature an all-star voice cast including Lee Byung Hun, Jin Sun Kyu, Lee Ha Nee, Yang Dong Geun, Cha In Pyo, Kwon Oh Joong, Jang Gwang, and Choi Ha Ri.
Lee Byung Hun lends his voice to Charles Dickens. His performance is expected to offer Korean audiences a powerful and emotional retelling of this timeless tale.
Jin Sun Kyu voices Jesus, portraying his life from birth to resurrection. His performance is expected to add emotional depth to the role, blending strength with warmth and compassion.
Lee Ha Nee plays dual roles as Catherine Dickens, the wife of Charles Dickens, and Mary, the mother of Jesus. She will bring warm charisma to the motherly roles, embracing her family with kindness and guiding them along their journey.
Yang Dong Geun voices Peter, a man torn between strong faith and personal conflict, while Cha In Pyo plays Pontius Pilate, the authority figure who sentences Jesus to death.
Kwon Oh Joong takes on the role of King Herod, capturing the intense struggle of a ruler caught between fear and desire. Jang Gwang plays the High Priest Caiaphas, who intensifies the conflict between authority and obsession, and Choi Ha Ri voices Walter Dickens, the youngest son of Charles Dickens.
Director Jang Seong Ho said, “I’m honored to work with such talented actors and voice actors to complete this film. I am happy that the power of the original story, combined with the excellent acting, will convey deeper emotion to domestic audiences.”
“The King of Kings” is set to hit theaters in July.
