Kim Ji Hun Falls Under A Deadly Spirit’s Control Again In “The Haunted Palace”

SBS’s “The Haunted Palace” has dropped new stills ahead of the upcoming episode!

“The Haunted Palace” is a fantasy historical rom-com that delves into the tale of the Eight Feet Tall spirit that bears a grudge against the royal family, a female shaman who opposes it, and an evil spirit known as Imugi. BTOB’s Yook Sungjae stars as Yoon Gap, a royal archivist and Yeo Ri’s first love who becomes possessed by an Imugi named Gangcheori. WJSN’s Kim Ji Yeon stars as Yeo Ri, the granddaughter of a powerful shaman who rejects her spiritual powers and destined path.

With only two episodes left before the finale, the drama has captured attention with a shocking and emotional twist: King Lee Jeong (Kim Ji Hun) will lose his body to the Eight Feet Tall spirit (Suh Do Young).

In the newly released stills, Lee Jeong sits on the throne with a chilling, vacant gaze. Burn scars on his face signal that he is now fully possessed by the vengeful Eight Feet Tall spirit—sending shivers down viewers’ spines. Gone are the warm, compassionate eyes of the king who loved his queen (Han So Eun) and dreamed of peace for his people. What remains is pure hatred and a thirst for vengeance. Despite previously holding a ritual to help the spirit let go of its deep-seated grudge, Lee Jeong has once again fallen under its control, heightening viewers’ curiosity about what led to his possession.

At the same time, the possessed king launches into a violent, frenzied rampage. Dressed in a red warrior’s robe and surrounded by flames, Lee Jeong exudes a menacing aura. After swallowing the Imugi’s glowing pearl, the Eight Feet Tall spirit becomes even more powerful, now fully in control of the king’s body. All eyes are on whether Gangcheori and Yeo Ri can overcome the odds, defeat the spirit, and rescue Lee Jeong. With both of them forced to risk their lives in order to exorcise the spirit, the outcome of their final battle has become a major point of anticipation.
